September 23, 2016: Visit the REFOOD plant for organic matter treatment in Liverpool. The plant processes around 200 t/d through anaerobic digestion followed by an upgrading process to transform the biogas into biomethane through absorption, operated by ECOGREENLINE. The biomethane obtained is directly injected into the natural gas distribution network. Visitors include members of the British Consulate in Barcelona, technicians from the Prevention Service and Waste Management of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB), the Vallès Oriental Consortium, and the Byproducts Market of the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona.
