On 25^th and 26^th of June 2018 the 8^th World Congress and Expo on Recycling took place in Berlin (Germany), a meeting point and platform for technical dissemination under the theme "Recycle today for a better tomorrow".

The Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB) traveled to the German capital to present the LIFE Methamorphosis project with the title "Waste stream treatment for obtaining safe reclaimed water and biomethane for transport sector to mitigate GHG emissions". During two days event, 16 technical papers related to waste management and recycling were carried out.

The AMB is involved in 24 projects co-financed by the European Union.
